Leave Application will work in a way that if you are a data entry person then on behalf of employees you can submit leave applications. And in the further process, the leave applications will move for the approval process. Once the leave applications will be approved by the concerned person then the leave will be applied to the attendance. As a result at the time of attendance taking the attendance of the employee, whose leave has been approved will be marked as absent.
So the manager or anyone who is in charge of attendance or payroll management can see why the person is absent. Also, the leave can be marked as paid leave or unpaid leave as per the store's norm.
And also if your employees install ETA mobile application on their phones then they will be automatically given access to apply for leave by themselves and then it will move to the approval process. Once the leave is approved they will get a notification of it.
In HR setup click on 'Leave applications' and then Add New Leave Application.
Select the employee's name, leave type, and date. Type the reason and HR notes.
Note that it's important to set the leave types first in Leave Master in the 'Setup Menu' section. For that go to the 'Setup Menu' and then 'Leave Master' and set the leave types, there you can mark the leaves as paid or unpaid leave and can enter all other details.
